It's me! Kellen!!!!!

Can you guess how much I weigh?????

Well...I'll go ahead and tell you, I weigh 19lbs. 6 oz. and I'm 27 and a 1/2 inches long (Mommy says I must have the Richardson height). Yesterday I went to the doctor for my 6 month check up. I sure do like Dr. Ison but I really could do without those shots. I'm in the 77th percentile of weight, 80th percentile of height and 25th percentile of head circumference. The doc was very impressed with how well I am growing and all the fun things that I am doing now. He even thought it was cool how much I was talking. I can sure get with it when I want to.

Mommy and Daddy took me to Babies R' Us after my appointment and I got my first pool!!! I can not wait to try it out! I love taking a bath so hopefully the pool is just as fun!!!! When I get in I'll have Mommy and Daddy take pictures and maybe even video!

I have so much fun playing with my toes. The other day I decided to play with daddy's pillow and my toes! Mommy took some pictures! Hope you like them!

I'm glad that mommy has this thing so you can watch me grow! Enjoy!

Father's Day 2009

Daddy's Day!!!! I think this will be a Father's Day Matt will always remember considering Kellen said "Da Da" for the first time. The smile on his face and the twinkle in his eye said it all. It was a very good morning. Kellen woke up about 7:30 AM, he ate and then we rounded up Daddy's gifts. One of the favorites was Matt's framed picture and poem.

My Daddy's Hand

Daddy, take my hand in yours and you will plainly see,
How very much I need you now to love and care for me.
As my little hand grows, I will need you even more,
Everything I do in life, I have never done before.
Teach me to be kind and loving, sharing and forgiving,
Show me through your acts of love the pure joy of living.
The years will pass by quickly and one day I will be grown,
I will pass what you have taught me onto children of my own.
Hold me always in your thoughts and remember when we are apart,
The special love between a child and a daddy's heart.

I Love You, Kellen

After we watched Daddy open his gifts, I got ready for church while Kellen and Daddy hung out together. It's so sweet to watch the two of them together, the love that they have for one another is precious! As the two were laying on the bed Matt started talking to Kellen and as sweet as he could, Kellen said the word! It made for such a special day! I know that Kellen and Matt will have many more special days together, the bond that they have now is amazing.

I am so glad that we were able to share this special day together and I look forward to the many days to come! Happy Daddy's Day!

Kellen's growing up!!!!

These past five and a half months have been absolutely wonderful. Kellen has grown and changed so much. On June 2nd Kellen finally decided to roll over. He's doing so much better with belly time which makes rolling over fun! I've tried catching it on video but the minute that I start recording he freezes or better yet the minute that I stop recording he decides to roll over. He's a sneaky little buddy.

About 3 weeks ago Kellen found a new love! That love was for Rice Cereal! Boy does he eat it up! Let me just say that he is a big eater! The pictures say it all!

Kellen babbles constantly. He's mastered the Ga's, and is now going to town with his Ba's. We work daily on his Da's and Ma's, one of these days he'll get it! On May 29th our little guy slept a full night in his crib. Kellen was ready for this way before Matt and I was. We both missed him so much that night. At one point Matt told me to go get him and bring him back to our bedroom, I really wanted too but I just couldn't bring myself to wake him up and risk having a very angry little guy. He did wonderful and slept till about 7:00 AM. Since then Kellen has woke up anywhere from 6 AM to 9 AM. I will have to say that I truly love it when he sleeps to 9; however, when he wakes up at 6 he'll eat and then go back to sleep, sometimes sleeping to 10:00 AM. Whatever time it is he always seems to wake up in a great mood.

Today, Kellen was hilarious!!!! Heather came over and the three of us were sitting in the kitchen. I was talking to Kellen and made a silly noise and he started cracking up!!! As we continued our new little game he would laugh and squeal with great excitement! He has the best laugh hands down. It is so contagious.

Kellen has truly made life for Matt and I so amazing. We continue to be amazed at all the fun things that he is doing! The love that we have for this baby boy is unconditional, he is amazing in every way!!!!
